Champlain Heights is home to families, seniors and singles. It is truly one of the greenest and safest places to live in the City of Vancouver. This walkable neighbourhood includes the Champlain Heights Community Centre (3350 Maquinna Dr.), a branch of the Vancouver Public Library (located at Champlain Square, 54th Avenue and Kerr Street) and three elementary schools.
The geographical boundaries of Champlain Heights are the Fraser River, 49th Avenue, Boundary Road and Kerr Street. The area south of Marine Drive, the River District, is undergoing a transformation as it is built up with homes and amenities. Everett Crowley Park, the fifth largest park in Vancouver, is located in Champlain Heights sandwiched between Kerr Street and Matheson Crescent, just north of Marine Drive.
A dedicated committee, the Everett Crowley Park Committee (ECPC) is working hard to restore the park, which was a city dump for many decades, to its natural state.
